The Amazon Kindle is by far a leading giant in the world of digital book readers, also known as e-readers.  Following my research into portable e-readers, I can confirm that the Kindle is a definite top spot winner.  The evidence is contained within the thousands of glorifying customer reviews, high customer ratings & the fact that the kindle has out sold paper back books on Amazon.  I think it is safe to say that these results speak for themselves.

Personally I found the Kindle to be one of the best buys I’ve made this year. You can’t help but fall in love with the simple but stunning lightweight design & it’s paper thin with so many simple but sophisticated functions and features.  I have decided to share my amazement of the Kindle with you in the form of the following article.  It will provide you with detailed information covering Amazons’ Kindle and why it has become so popular within such a short time.

KINDLES FABELOUS FEATURES

When you handle the Amazon Kindle for the time you instantly notice how light in weight the device is.  It was my first thought when I held the kindle e-reader for the first time, it felt lighter than a small paper back book which I found quite amazing.  It is definitely smaller, thinner, and lighter in weight than an average paperback and the fact that it is capable of storing thousands of publications ready for reading makes you think that this new e-reader could spell the end for paper back books in the future.  You will find yourself asking “Why didn’t they think of that before?”  It can be easily fitted into your jacket pocket or even the smallest of handbags.

If you are a lover of the sun and want to settle down for some relaxing time with a good book unlike alternative tablet PCs, you no longer have to worry about the impossible glare from the sun restricting your view of the screen so whether you are relaxing in the garden or sunbathing on the beach you no longer have to move around wrestling with the suns’ rays.  Your view of the screen will not be affected as the Kindles’ electronic ink allows the pages to appear as though you were reading from an actual page. If you are sceptical of this fact simply look in your local shopping centre for stores that have the Kindle on display you will be amazed.

In terms of the storage, the Kindle has the capacity to withhold as much as 3,500 books at any one time.  If however for any reason your library of books exceeds this amount, the Kindle is able to store the excess within your amazon account.  If you wish to access the content stored within your account.

If you are an avid reader and will spend a lot of time reading with it, you don’t have to worry about the battery life. The battery is so powerful that if you should turn off the 3G and not use it, the battery can last you up to two full months without being plugged into an electricity outlet or to a computer using a USB cable.

Organization of the books in the Amazon kindle ebook reader is pretty simple. You can organize the books into collections in such a way that you can access them by author, Title of the books, keyword or phrase in the book or by what ever means you decide to choose. You can also subscribe for newspapers, magazines which you can download file them differently in what ever format you like. If you have your own personal work or business paper, you can also file them easily in your Kindle.

Finally if you are like me and don’t like disturbing others with light while you read, especially in dim-light situations, you can purchase one of the Amazon kindle accessories , maybe the kindle case, because it has a reading light which makes use of the kindle’s battery life. You can use it maybe in an aeroplane at night if don’t want to disturb your fellow passengers by turning on your overhead light.
